Featuring Taiwan's foremost Tang Dynasty Xiao player, the ancestor of the modern Shakuhachi, an instrument that hasnt changed over 2500 thousand years.... All the way back to the time that the Buddha walked the Earth.
I was so fortunate to meet Master Winson Liao, and he shared with me some of the secrets of how to play this ancient instrument.
As he showed me around a Buddhist Temple in the mountains close to Taipei, he played this wonderful ancient Bamboo flute to a track I played on the keyboards. Completely tuning in, with ears of Zen, he blew his magic healing breath through the Bamboo and into this album....
There was no editing involved in his nor mine playing. This is the exact live recording as it is.
After finalizing the Medicine Buddha Arkana, I felt this track would be the ideal sonic Spirit friend to accompany the journey of the Medicine Buddha.

It can be used for (Zen) Meditation, Savasana, Shamanic practice, or simply to close your eyes with and dream off into a world of serenity and powerful healing spirits.

This is probably my favourite ever album. I have been struggling a lot with anxiety, and this is just the purest healing music I have ever felt. Singing along with it is pure medicine. Fell so blessed to have found this beautiful magical music. <3 darkmoondreamer
